Use The Little That You Have In Your Hand
“What can I ever accomplish for God? I’m too weak to make a lasting difference.” Do you ever
feel like this? If so, please take heart, as this is patently untrue. God does not ask you to be strong
or successful in order to live for him. He does not require that you have the latest training or a lot
of influence with the people in your life. Everything but that – God desires that you use what you
have within your hand, making it available to God, and entrusting Him with what happens next!
Speaking of a little that became a lot, in John 6 we read about a boy that had 5 loaves of bread
and two fish in his possession. A seemingly insignificant child within a massive crowd of more
than five thousand men that were listening to Jesus, many of Jesus’ closest disciples dismissed
what this boy had in his hand, far too little to make a difference. And yet when Jesus decided to
provide food for the hungry crowd, the little that was in that boy’s hand suddenly became more
than enough, a feast that filled every stomach beyond capacity. The ‘little’ that this unknown boy
gave freely to Jesus, suddenly became abundance when passed through Christ’s hands. Learn
from him to give the little money, spiritual gifts, talents, and devotion that you have to God.
Trust Him to turn it into an abundant harvest.
